The Real Jim Carrey

When you watch this video of Jim Carrey describing what we call a mystical 'unitary consciousness' experience, pay close attention to his face. You will see, as our neuroscientific research shows, that the experience transcends his words. You will see it in his eyes, as if he was looking to fully grasp what he experienced. The experience is beyond words. Yet you can see it in his facial expressions. You can hear it in the tone of their voice. As our current research on communication has found, words are only a small part of the equation. If you want to build trust and intimacy with someone else, you must train yourself to speak from the experience, not about it. Soon, hopefully, we will be posting meditations and mindfulness-based communication exercises that will take you closer to the transcendent experience of life that Jim Carrey describes in this video.
